Akinola Davies and Wale Davies win at the 2026 BAFTAs

You may know them as the producers of the film “ My Father’s Shadow “ which won them their first major international award, or you may even know Wale Davies from the group “ ShowDemCamp”. No matter where you know these two from, what matters most is they called us to deliver a great premiere for their film in Lagos in 2025 and we delivered.

Our set up for the film premiere

Conceptualization turned into reality

At the premiere we wanted the audience to understand how the producers viewed the movie from their own lens. Although Akinola Davies Jr is based in the UK, we wanted him to see the vision of making the movie premiere tell the indigenous story, so the tag line “ MY FATHER’S SHADOW IS AT HOME “ the different guests felt at home really and it was amazing.

From Nollywood veterans to newbies and even experts from Britain, we sizzled through with excellence planning this premiere to impress the audience so they can watch this amazing film.

The premiere was produced and planned by one of our event coordinators, TEMITOPE, who made sure all side attractions and unique features were well available and accessible.

We were stunned as a team to learn that our clients excelled at the British Academy Film Awards and didn’t just excel, Akinola Davies Jr gave a speech that stood out.

We are happy to be a BAFTA affiliated brand and congratulate Akinola Davies and Wale Davies, and the whole Fatherland Productions team for their success .
